Delta Centre CLG delivers services to Adults with Disabilities are
currently seeking to recruit a BEHAVIOURAL THERAPIST to join their
multi-disciplined team.
This role is a permanent 3 days (**Apply on the website** hour) per
week position with the with the potential of increased hours in the
future. The Behavioural Therapist will support the CEO of Delta Centre
and the Manager of Beam Services in the day-to-day management of the
human resource for each independent organisation.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
* REPORTS TO SENIOR/PRINCIPLE CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST, H.S.E. FOR
CLINICAL SUPERVISION.
* REPORTS TO CEO OF DELTA CENTRE FOR ALL OPERATIONAL MATTERS
(SALARY, ANNUAL LEAVE, ATTENDANCE ONSITE SUPPORT ETC.).
* REPORTS TO EACH ORGANISATIONS CEO/ MANAGER FOR ALL MATTERS
RELATING TO THEIR SERVICE USERS? BEHAVIOURAL SUPPORTS.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Behavioural Therapist in partnership with the HSE psychologist
(Carlow Kilkenny) and each organisation will develop and implement a
transparent equitable referral pathway & prioritisation criteria and
model of service delivery that is based on the needs of the individual
with challenging behaviour.
KEY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Active promotion and support of staff teams in the development of
knowledge and skills in challenging behaviour and the co-ordination of
measures that facilitate information sharing and skills building.
* Identification of training need in challenging behaviour and
active participation in the development, design and deliverance of
training and strategies aimed at meeting these needs. This will be
done in consultation with the psychology department H.S.E.
Carlow/Kilkenny and each organisation.
* Work as a member of each organisations team in providing an
integrated and co-ordinated service to residents, day participants,
their families, and staff teams.
* Engaging in functional assessments of behaviour and collaborate in
the development of behaviour support plans.
* Facilitate strengths-based skills groups aimed at enhancing
resiliency skills and adaptive behaviours.
* Work with the people we support and their families to implement
the therapeutic interventions designed in collaboration with the wider
team.
EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of 2 years? experience working as a behavioural support
therapist.
* Experience in completing behaviour assessments and developing
behaviour support.
QUALIFICATION
* Appropriate third level qualifications or relevant health care
discipline
* A postgraduate or master's in applied psychology or Behavioural
analysis or other clinically relevant area.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Significant relevant experience in supporting people with
intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
* A full clean driving licence and the use of a car is essential.
Salary will depend on experience and be pensionable after **Apply on
